the food of gods and nymphs and trendy cereal designers
greek legend has it that all raspberries were white. one day, Jupiter was in a godly rage (mars stole his venus) and the nymph Ida decided to pick some raspberries to help cool his moons. she pricked her finger in the process and her blood has stained all raspberries since. that still doesn’t explain their fragrantly sweet, melt-in your mouth flavor though.

health benefits: excellent source of ellegic acid, a polyphenol antioxidant – rich in phytonutrients, flavonoids, anthocyanins- more antioxidants than strawberries – high in manganese, fiber, B vitamins, folate, riboflavin, niacin, potassium and copper – World’s Healthiest Foods List.
