when VH1 reached out to us about creating a special mix for the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors show, we just couldn’t resist the creative possibilities. besides, this year the show is honoring Def Jam, the company that Adam worked for before [me] & goji. Finally, the event is held to raise money for the VH1 Save the Music foundation so everybody wins!

This is the label we designed for the event that went on top of the Cereal Capsules. It is in the style of the records Def Jam sends out to DJs when a new song comes out.

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in American public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.

The Sports Club / LA now carrying [me] & goji

We are extremely excited to announce that The Sports Club / LA in NYC is now offering [me] & goji in their cafe!

The Sports Club / LA is one of the finest sports and fitness complexes in the world and every amenity they offer is “created to inspire you, challenge you, and surpass your every expectation.”

For our new venture, we teamed up with the talented nutrition and wellness coach, Lara S. Sutton of LSM Nutrition to design 4 custom mixes for the members of The Sports Club /LA.

farm sanctuary “winter wonderland” event recap

a couple weeks ago, we posted about the event we sponsored for Farm Sanctuary.

the event was a blast!  we met lots of cool people like Chloe Jo from GirlieGirl Army, John from Boston Baked Bonz (vegan doggie treats!), Cory Feldman, Jennifer Coolidge, and Marcia from Blackwell’s Organic Gelato.

the event was a huge success and raised lots of money toward taking care of hundreds of animals that were rescued from natural disasters around the country.

for us, it was a great opportunity to talk up [me] & goji to lots of like-minded people (and enjoy some wintry cocktails).  we were pleasantly surprised to discover how many people had already heard of us and ordered before!

farm sanctuary – winter wonderland event

Farm Sanctuary is a nationwide organizaion that combats the abuses of factory farming and to encourage a new awareness and understanding about “farm animals.”

The Winter Wonderland event is on thursday, December 4th and includes a silent auction to raise $$ for the cause…and some yummy food from the top vegan restaurants in NYC!

QUESTION: is [me] & goji vegan?

ANSWER: The only ingredients we have that are not vegan are: Golden Granola Choco-Goji Granola and our Chocolate-Covered items (peanuts, cranberries and gojis) which contain either honey or milk.

[me] & goji supports Girls on the Run!

It’s not often we come across an idea as good as [me] & goji, but credit must be given to the wonderful people at Girls on the Run for their amazing nonprofit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Started by Molly Barker, a four-time Hawaii Ironman triathlete (Carl gets tired just thinking about it), Girls on the Run provides a curriculum to  address all aspects of girls’ development – their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being.  Today, there are Girls on the Run programs in over 150 cities across North America, with tens of thousands of girls and women participating!

So when Girls on the Run Chicago asked if we’d like to be involved in one of their events, we couldn’t refuse! This November 17th, for the Girls on the Run annual fundraiser, [me] & goji will be donating customized cereal mixes to be placed in VIP gift bags. We look forward to hearing their responses!
